Above is a chessboard. Place a queen on a given square. Now place another queen on a different square which does not lie the path of the first queen (the queen can move any length vertically, horizontally or diagonally). Place another queen on the board which does not lie in the path of the first two queens. If you continue doing this, how many queens can you place on the chessboard with no queen lying in another's path?
